I love the products..,simple and highly effective. I sent your customer service a return email with pictures of how the box had been run over somewhere in the delivery process and one of the traps was bent and not functional, but have not heard back. Otherwise the product is all I expected…R E Creech

This works!

After I received this trap I did not immediately know how to set it. But after watching a video about how to set it, it became clear.
I got some canned anchovies as bait and set it in the evening. The next morning, PRESTO!!, I caught one.
This will help me greatly remove the critters that dig up my backyard at night.
Great Product!

works great

the only problem is; my first coon walked away with it along with the 6 ft. chain I had attached to a tree; So I pad locked the second one; they aren't getting away now!! Crafty little devils!!

Loved it but we didn't get it n the ground good so the coon walked off with one! After we attached it to the fence it worked great it was our fault

Not only did we catch a coon but we caught a opposum. Worked great!

Hard to set

This trap is too hard to set. Unable to press together and even with the tool it is awkward. I'm afraid i wouldn;t be able to get the coon out of the trap after i caught it

I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend the DP Coon Trap for anyone who is serious about eliminating racoons from their property.

The DP coon traps arrived as they were described. I would recommend getting the quick set tool and the spring is very powerful and the trap is difficult to set without it.

Good quality, But!

I was impressed with the quality and HD material in the trap. I set it for the first time and found it empty and sprung the next morning. I am sure due to my trail cam. that the large coon pulled its foot out. I think it needs some rough edges on the rim of the spring.

Best coon traps out there

Was a perfect transaction. Fast shipping and a great product that was cheaper than local ACE hardware. These are easy to set with the tool and I am getting great results using dog food as bait. Thank you.

Coon Traps are A++++++++

I have used this type of traps for years. I bought some more due to a sudden infestation. Set 5 traps caught 4 coons. Used Sardines with a Marshmelo on top.

Duke dog proof traps

Strong spring that should hold any raccoon. I advise using deep stakes I welded some from re-rod) to keep the trap from being dragged away by the trapped animal.mI also recommend purchase of the trap setting tool, it makes triggering the trap much easier than trying to do it by hand. Delivery was fast

The trap worked great. I caught 2 raccoons in 2 nights. I made the mistake of attaching the trap near a small tree. The second raccoon chewed every branch off of the tree. My advice is to secure the trap nowhere near anything you want to keep.

Four racoons in a week

The critters were tearing up our vegtable and ornamental gardens. First week took out four with marshmellow bait - none in last two weeks - no further damage either.

Simple to use and obviously very effective.

Great trap. Well built

Excellent product, solid built. Got a raccoon on the second night set. Didn't come with the tool to set it so be sure to add that to your order. It's pretty tight setting it but just step on it to release the animal with no problem

Product arrived quickly and was just as advertised. Best and easiest raccoon trap I have ever used. Works easy and efficiently. I can set the trap with just my hands but I have strong hands. If you don't have strong hands you would be better off buying the set tool to assist setting the trap.

works as expected

Simple to use and works well. Difficult as hell to set without a tool. Scheels does not carry a tool. I made my own just a simple u shape about 10 inches long. notched the bottom to prevent it slipping. if you could purchase a tool it would be better.

Solid quality

Bottom line, traps are great for the price. Only issue that some need work on the trigger mechanism as they tend to stick. A little file work would make them more efficient.

This the REAL Thing!

I had purchased 2 traps earlier in the year and had them fail by allowing the animal to escape so I bought these original Duke's traps. I can tell you that the finish is much better than the "knock-off brand" and the spring is much stiffer, I almost could not set the trap without the tool. The cheap ones are easy to set by hand. These originals also have a better trigger mechanism. Don't waste your money on the others....buy these!

Great pest eliminator!

I live in an area where you cannot shoot and I have two small dogs, so this trap was the best alternative to getting rid of some pesky raccoons that were digging up my yard at night eating grubs. It took about 6 days but I finally started catching the trash pandas. The first one was so greedy that he had both hands in the trap!

I'm pleased with the quality and ease of setting it.

With 3 traps I caught two raccoons the first night. One raccoon had each of his front legs in a trap. I put them too close together. Only about one per week since; same as I was getting with live traps.
Also getting about as many opossums as raccoons.
Wondering if other raccoons witnessing a capture will make them reluctant to return?
